Alsager 5

Its snowing!

The alsager 5 was a interesting race this year after a night of heavy snow in south cheshire and north staffs resulting in a busy morning for the race organisers!

Ken and his team did a fantastic job in getting this race on and despite the calls of some who said it should not have gone ahead no one was making anyone run!

The race despite losing some of the elite field was a exceptional standard once again with luke crag of mansfield taking victory from last years winner anthony ford of sale harriers, in the ladies elle baker of stockport took the spoils from sonia samual again of sale harriers despite the bad weather and with over 1000 entered over 500 runners finished the event.

Off to Norway this weekend freelancing so Alsager good preparation for a ski marathon see some of you week after at the popular village bakery run.

 

Wellingborough mt round 1

A new event for me today Wellinbrough multi terrain race at Wellingbrough in Northamptonshire so a early start for me today ! Thankfully a nice bacon map and coffee was fully operating when i arrived

A really nice event with plenty of runners of a nice crisp morning choice of 5k/10k or 15 k so something for everyone made this a enjoyable morning

A good day at lancs half with our friends from Fyle running always a good event from Ron and Lewis and his crew a cold wind and low sun meant challenging conditions for photographers but the runners seemed to Enjoy the event as they  blew off the holiday cobwebs in preparation perhaps for a spring marathon

Went to limp wrist 5 today always a good day out with loads of friends from local running scene not taking photos today am working at getting video sorted went well today and people are happy with it from feedback i’ve had

Ribble valley 10k

Matt Clowes running a great 4th place

 

Always a good end of season 10k in cliteroe and always good running several runners under 30 mins

johnny mellow who has had some good results lately and was due a good un ran fantastically to take victory and on his birthday as well!!!

in second place and more use to winning tris this year and one of the favourites to take olypic gold next year was Alistair brownlee

4th place and one of the runs of the day was Matt Clowes from staffordshire improving his pb yet again.

 

 

Staffordshire moorlands christmas cracker

today was one of the last races of the year and one which i always enjoy attending and was for the third year running held on the short course round the resivoir  at tittersworth the event had its normal sprinking of santas elves reindeer etc as well as the “normal” runners.

The event being won by Adam peers from Liverpool harriers followed by damion nicolas from wilmslow rc with last years winner malcolm fowler in third.

The womens race being won by ruth wathorn rice from host club staffordshire moorlands

The race marked Adela salt one of the areas and country top ultra runners last race in the area before she moves to canda at the end of January she will i know be missed by loads of fellow runners and am sure we all wish her well with her new life in canda.

Nearly the end of the year so i hope santa brings you what you want for xmas and hope to see you all smiling in the new year

Tatton park yule yomp 10k

A great morning at tatton park with our friends from Cheshire hash harriers despite the pouring rain!!

but this didn’t put of the runners nearly a 1000 runners in this great event round tatton park

a great turnout of santas red and blue as well as several more costumes etc besides the normal runners!!

A great win for the second year winning from the peter pan of running Malcolm Fowler from Wilmslow running club

well another year nearly over if anyone is still to take their children to see santa we are at Trentham this saturday and sunday taking photos of santa in trentham garden centre for dougie mac book early last weekend was full up
